Job Description

The CNC Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machines and manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This role utilizes strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge to support production operations and maintain equipment reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on CNC and manufacturing equipment Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) in accordance with established schedules Troubleshoot CNC control systems (e.g., Fanuc, Mazak, Okuma) Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and drawings to identify and resolve issues Respond to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns to minimize production disruptions Conduct inspections, calibrations, and accuracy checks on equipment Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and special projects Maintain accurate maintenance records in CMMS Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment efficiency and reliability Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives Follow all safety standards, PPE requirements, and environmental health and safety protocols
Qualifications:
3-5 years of CNC or industrial maintenance experience Strong knowledge of CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders) Experience with PLC troubleshooting, hydraulics, and pneumatics Familiarity with CMMS systems Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing preferred Knowledge of lean manufacturing and TPM principles is a plus Basic computer skills (Windows environment) Technical degree, certification, or equivalent experience in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and use of tools Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machine oils This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
