Job Description
Machine Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install, and construct industrial equipment and mechanical machine parts and systems.
- Possess current knowledge of journeyman electrician and journeyman machinery mechanic.
- Possess an excellent working knowledge of NEC and
NFPA-70E
to create a safe work environment; check out and troubleshoot electric circuits including operation and function of typical electrical and mechanical devices on machinery.- Ability to set and coordinate over-current protective devices, size feeder circuits and work on systems up to and including 600 Volts safely.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting to include but not limited to repair, install and construction of industrial electrical equipment and systems found in an industrial & construction environment through proper uses of standard wire, conduit, fittings and hardware commonly found in industrial plants
- Read and understand conduit drawings, schematics, architectural drawings and specs.
- Responsible for use and care of the tools and equipment commonly employed in industrial construction, such as hydraulic/electric benders, knockout punch sets, cable puller, megger, volt meters, multi-testers and ammeters and all mechanical tools.
- Bend, cut, thread and install conduit.
- Install and terminate wiring per NEC and NFPA-70E, which requires the use of compliant PPE and Arc-Flash protection.
- Accountable for testing, troubleshooting, setting machine systems, while working with protective relay logic and motor control circuits.
Hours :
2nd Shift- -Monday-Friday (3pm-11pm) Will do training on the 1st shift until candidate is ready for job responsibilities
