This role is essential in ensuring the continuous operation, safety, and efficiency of production equipment and plant infrastructure. The Maintenance Technician will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical systems, and execute repairs to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in industrial maintenance, technical diagnostics, and hands-on problem-solving to support our manufacturing processes. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team dedicated to quality and operational excellence. Duties Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plastic extrusion machines, molding equipment, and auxiliary systems to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC systems using schematics, blueprints, and diagnostic tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and precision measuring instruments. Perform equipment repairs including welding, electrical system repairs, hydraulic component replacements, and pneumatic system troubleshooting. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks. Read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately for complex troubleshooting involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrician systems, and high-voltage circuits. Operate industrial equipment such as scissor lifts safely for access during maintenance activities. Support engineering troubleshooting efforts by analyzing system failures and recommending corrective actions. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to electrical systems, high voltage areas, and welding procedures. Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime through timely repairs and effective communication. Assist in training team members on maintenance procedures and safety standards. Requirements Proven experience in manufacturing facility maintenance with a focus on plastics or similar industries. Strong knowledge of industrial mechanic practices including hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), and electrical diagnostics. Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting using schematics and technical manuals. Proficiency with CMMS software for work order management. Skilled in electrical blueprint reading and engineering troubleshooting techniques. Ability to perform welding ( welding or equivalent), electrical repairs, and use precision measuring instruments effectively. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, high voltage safety procedures, and electrical systems repair. Valid certification or experience in industrial electrician work or related fields preferred. Excellent analysis skills combined with customer service orientation when interacting with internal teams. Ability to operate scissor lifts safely and perform equipment repair in elevated or confined spaces. Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
