Position Description:
Join a dynamic team as a Dock Technician in Warren, Ohio, supporting the maintenance and repair of commercial and industrial facility equipment. In this role, you'll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot system issues, and execute minor repairs on docks, doors, locks, and related hardware. Your efficient work ensures the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of loading dock systems and facility infrastructure. This position offers opportunity for growth through hands-on experience with commercial equipment, electronics troubleshooting, and facilities maintenance. You'll collaborate with a team committed to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction while adhering to all OSHA safety standards.
Responsibilities include: Conducting routine safety checks and system "shift rounds"
Servicing and maintaining dock levelers, seals, bumpers, and commercial doors (automatic and overhead)
Performing minor repairs including electrical, plumbing, and building maintenance tasks
Troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems
Documenting work activities in CMMS, analyzing findings, and updating preventive maintenance schedules
Communicating effectively with team members and clients about work progress and issues
Supporting safety protocols, hazardous energy controls, and confined space procedures
Qualifications involve a mix of technical and mechanical skills with a focus on equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and safety compliance.
Top Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent, with some trade or technical training preferred
- Minimum of 3 years' experience servicing commercial dock systems, doors, and related hardware
- Proven ability to troubleshoot electronics, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; basic electrical and plumbing skills
