Position:
The Maintenance Mechanic position requires a skilled maintenance mechanic to inspect and repair material handling equipment and minor building repairs. Will follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. In addition, the candidate will observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
Responsibilities:
Regular inspection of all electrical and power units of a facility. Detecting malfunctions and defects in electrical systems and vehicle engines and repairing the same. Ensuring the compliance of all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and health administration rules (OSHA) while conducting work functions. Maintaining a record of service cycles and other maintenance activities conducted. Efficiently managing time and completing all tasks assigned by the supervisory authority. Reporting damages, defects and other issues pertaining to electrical units to the supervising manager. Placing orders for spare and replacement parts and completing all necessary documentation for the same. Appropriately using and handling all electrical repair and testing tools and equipment. Light building maintenance repairs. Changing bulbs, painting, caulking, etc. Moving equipment from building to another building Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate. Other duties as assigned.
Work Location:
This is an on-site role
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 4:00PM - 2:30AM with OT as needed.
Compensation:
$35/hr, plus $.50 shift differential

Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines. Sound understanding of using all electrical testing and repair of Material Handling equipment. Ability to use efficiently various power and hand tools. Ability to operate a forklift. Should follow oral or written instructions. Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships. High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education Ability to stand, walk, bend, extend, reach, and twist for long periods of time.
