Full Job Description Job description: Established in 1929, Weaver Eggs is a family farm founded and based in Versailles, Ohio. We are looking for people with a sincere "can do" attitude in the daily work environment, where quality can be embraced at every level. We actively seeking a hardworking problem solver to join our processing team in West Mansfield, Oh as an Egg Grader Maintenance technician. The position is responsible for managing routine and corrective machine maintenance for our egg grader and processing facility equipment. Benefits Paid Vacation Medical Benefits Profit Sharing Plan Competitive Pay Key Responsibilities Perform post-operational inspections on machinery daily Keep equipment running and operating safely and efficiently by performing preventive maintenance Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions of the following equipment: Egg processing equipment and other equipment in the facility Take a proactive approach to issue resolution including root cause analyses and error proofing controls related to down time. Manage and record parts inventory and maintain maintenance records Set up machines with proper packaging and date codes Welding preferred but not necessary Comply with safety regulations and biosecurity rules, policies, and procedures. Reports any violations to a supervisor. Qualifications and Skills Strong mechanical repair/troubleshooting and metal working skills. Must be able to satisfactorily demonstrate proficiency in machine repair, machine tool operations, pipefitting and welding. Functional knowledge of mechanical components (valves, pipe fittings, bearings, motors, gearboxes, etc.). Ability to read and/or interpret mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic blueprints or schematics. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization both written and verbal; includes building relationships with team lead and department managers. Be able to perform basic arithmetic problems involving addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and job-related internet research and the ability to learn for daily usage. Strong organizational, prioritization and problem-solving skills with focus on attention to detail. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment completing objectives efficiently with a sense of urgency and responsibility. Understand, practice and enforce safe work practices related to the following: fall protection, control of hazardous energy (lockout/tagout procedure), fire protection systems, electrical safety, forklift/hoist operation, welding, cutting, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and employee "Right to Know." Ability to safely complete the physical tasks associated with the essential job functions. These tasks include extensive climbing, walking, lifting, bending, standing, carrying and squatting. Work Environment Must possess the ability to work in indoors, outdoors, office, warehouse, and processing areas each varying in temperature, and other environment specific atmospheres. Which may include egg odor, general dampness, flies, chemicals and general spills or messes that are common in a processing facility.
