Job Description

Nestlé Purina is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our pet food manufacturing lines running safely and efficiently. In this on-site role, you'll perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production, packaging, and facility systems, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to reduce downtime. You'll use a CMMS to track work orders, parts, and maintenance history while closely following safety, quality, and sanitation standards, including lockout/tagout. Working with production and engineering teams, you'll support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement to enhance reliability in a fast-paced, pet-focused environment. Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and packaging equipment Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime Use CMMS to document work, parts usage, and maintenance history Follow all safety, quality, and sanitation standards, including lockout/tagout procedures Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability Assist with equipment installations, changeovers, and upgrades Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams for repairs Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives Required Skills Equipment maintenance Mechanical repair Electrical troubleshooting Preventive maintenance Hydraulic and pneumatic systems PLC/automation basics Welding and fabrication Root cause analysis CMMS usage Safety and lockout/tagout
