Job Overview:
The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the physical integrity of our multifamily communities. This part time, in-person role (Hours will vary between 8 AM-5 PM, M-F) involves performing routine and emergency maintenance tasks, assisting with property upkeep, and ensuring residents have a clean, safe, and well-maintained place to live.
Duties:
Guarantee personal punctuality and attendance consistently to build a culture of trust and secure company reputation Provide superior interactions with clients and tenants Perform maintenance repairs within skill set as they arise Interface with tenants on maintenance-related concerns and provide follow up detail to Property Management for invoicing and record-keeping Follow the daily schedule provided and work efficiently to maintenance list completion Assist Property Management with maintenance supply inventory Periodic on-call availability for emergencies and special projects resulting in additional compensation Maintain equipment rooms and storage areas in a neat, organized, and secure condition Maintain property preparedness by identifying potential problems and alerting Property Management accordingly
Requirements:
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Maintenance experience: 2 years
Plumbing Experience:
Required Proficient ability to diagnose and assist with repair of major appliances, sheetrock, general carpentry, gutters, foundation/sidewalk repair, ice/snow removal, and pool care (if required by the property) Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 75 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks Basic or intermediate ability to diagnose and assist with repair of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical issues Excellent sense of customer service, teamwork, problem solving, teamwork, and multitasking
