Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal operation and upkeep of our facilities and equipment. This dynamic role involves performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and building interior components. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background, hands-on experience with various tools and systems, and a passion for maintaining safe, efficient, and well-functioning environments. Duties Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on facilities equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and building interiors to prevent issues before they arise. Repair or replace electrical equipment using schematics, hand tools, electrical work techniques, and troubleshooting devices such as ohmmeters. Perform welding tasks and mechanical repairs utilizing mechanical knowledge and appropriate tools to maintain structural integrity. Maintain HVAC systems by diagnosing issues, repairing components, and ensuring optimal climate control within the facility. Manage plumbing system maintenance including repairs of leaks, blockages, or faulty fixtures to ensure proper water flow and sanitation standards. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule future tasks efficiently. Supervise or assist with building interior maintenance such as painting (including residential painting), carpentry repairs, and general facilities upkeep to uphold safety standards and aesthetic quality. Lead or collaborate with team members on complex maintenance projects while demonstrating leadership skills in supervising less experienced staff when necessary. Follow detailed schematics for electrical or mechanical systems during repairs or installations to ensure accuracy and safety compliance. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity. Help housekeeping and keep grounds clean. Requirements Proven experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC repair, and building interior upkeep. Demonstrated proficiency with hand tools, electrical equipment repair including schematics reading, welding techniques, plumbing system maintenance, and use of diagnostic tools like ohmmeters. Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), HVAC systems including repair procedures, CMMS software for work order management, and maintenance painting techniques. Ability to interpret technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately for troubleshooting and repairs. Strong electrical experience including electrical equipment repair and electrical work safety standards. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and effective teamwork. Supervising experience is preferred; leadership qualities are essential for guiding team efforts during complex projects or urgent repairs. Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, working in confined spaces or at heights as needed for building maintenance tasks.
