Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team in the OKC/Norman area. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our properties, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, appearance, and functionality. As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform general repairs and preventative maintenance at the properties. This position will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Performs general plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) repairs to the facility's equipment and systems. Inspects equipment and systems to identify problems or issues. Conducts quarterly preventive maintenance to ensure that plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems continue operating properly. Handle service requests from tenants and ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks. Maintain a professional and courteous manner when interacting with tenants. Performs general safety repairs onsite to protect property and residents. Works to refurbish residences prior to occupancy. On call for emergencies.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of general plumbing, electrical and HVAC repair. Ability to provide and use hand tools and power tools. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and able to follow instructions. Must be able to communicate effectively with tenants, contractors, and team members in English. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Willingness to assist colleagues and contribute to the overall success of Winfield Property Management.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience preferred. Pool certification, EPA certification, HVAC certification, Fair Housing Training preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods walking and standing Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend and crawl into awkward spaces. Must be physically able to operate power equipment. Must be able to lift up to 50-100 pounds at a time. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
