Facilities Technician

Talascend is currently seeking a Facilities Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Corvallis, Oregon . Overview The main function of a facilities technician is to provide general maintenance support for the assigned buildings, ensuring safety, security, and proper operation of various systems. Responsibilities Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained. Troubleshoot power, HVAC system and controls, and mechanical systems. Maintain general & preventative maintenance, carpentry, plumbing systems, and vendor management. Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts as needed. Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials, as requested. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 10+ years of experience required. Electrical knowledge and HVAC equipment/control systems experience. Commercial and industrial experience with a controls background. Experience with building management systems. Well-rounded commercial HVAC experience including pumps, boilers, chillers, controls, etc. Experience managing a team of up to five workers is a plus. Preferred Qualifications EPA Universal certification highly preferred. LME or LEB certification is a plus. We thank all applicants for their interest.
