As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the team that is responsible for responding to resident work requests while also balancing work on preventive maintenance items. This position is responsible for general maintenance of buildings and grounds of Mary's Woods. You will be contributing to the maintenance and operations of the premises to create a beautiful and safe community for residents and their guests to enjoy. You must be able to relate positively and favorably to staff, residents, and families, and enjoy working on a team. Mary's Woods is a non-profit senior living community founded in 2001. We offer independent living, assisted living, memory care and residential care in a park-like setting on 40 acres in Lake Oswego. We pride ourselves on our rich heritage, spirit of caring and welcoming culture. We are seeking passionate team members to join us in fulfilling our mission and values. Below are some of the core responsibilities, experience, and skills needed to be successful: Working knowledge and ability to operate power hand tools and equipment and read common measuring instruments Perform interior and exterior repairs to the buildings, grounds, equipment, system Perform minor repairs on carpet, tile, and plastic laminate Assist in testing fire alarm, emergency generator, HVAC, and other systems and participate in fire alarm, personal call, and other emergency responses as needed Move appliances, furniture and other items to assist with the repair and maintenance of apartments and common area spaces Perform minor carpentry on interior wood products, cabinets, shelving units and laminate flooring Perform scheduled maintenance checks of the buildings, grounds, and facilities
