Omnitek Cable, Inc. is a growing U.S. manufacturer of high-performance cable products serving demanding applications including semiconductor test, RF/microwave, medical, and other advanced technology markets. We are entering an important stage of growth focused on expanding production capability, adding significant new equipment, developing new products and processes, and building the team. We are seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support this growth. Working alongside our Engineering and Operations teams, this role will focus on equipment assembly, preventative and corrective maintenance, and facilities upkeep. This position offers the opportunity to contribute across a range of initiatives and is expected to grow along with the business. We can provide opportunities for advancement into broader maintenance, facilities, or operations-focused roles based on individual strengths and interests. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment, facility systems, and building infrastructure Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues to minimize downtime and maintain a safe working environment Support facilities-related projects such as equipment relocations, minor construction, layout changes, and space planning Maintain and organize the maintenance shop, spare parts inventory, and tool and equipment storage Conduct routine facility inspections, identifying and addressing safety hazards, wear items, and maintenance needs Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, inspections, and facility services Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment service records Collaborate closely with the Engineering and Production teams to support equipment reliability and minimize production interruptions Respond to and resolve day-to-day facilities and maintenance requests across the site in a timely manner Qualifications 5+ years of equipment maintenance experience in manufacturing environments, with a focus on equipment reliability and uptime Strong general maintenance skills across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and basic HVAC systems Demonstrated experience supporting preventative maintenance programs, building systems, and general facility equipment, including inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and ongoing upkeep Ability to independently diagnose and resolve facility and equipment issues, taking ownership of problem resolution and managing prioritie Comfortable using hand and power tools, along with basic diagnostic and test equipment Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, facility drawings, and basic technical documentation Experience maintaining records, work orders, spare parts and supply inventory Forklift or aerial lift experience a plus Experience coordinating with outside vendors and contractors on repairs, inspections, and facility services Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Location On-site position at our Sherwood, OR facility.
