Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a facility on the 2nd shift. This role is vital in ensuring the continuous operation and maintenance of plant equipment, utilizing advanced technical skills and industry knowledge. The ideal candidate will have , electrical systems, hydraulics, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Strong troubleshooting abilities, , and proficiency in using precision measuring instruments are essential. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that values technical expertise, safety, and customer service. Job Duties and Tasks Repairs equipment and machinery; replaces or repairs defective parts. Performs preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities at main plant and satellite facilities; starts devices to test their performance. Performs electrical repairs to buildings, machinery and motors as required. Performs plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks, unplugging drains and performing other plumbing jobs. Performs general building maintenance including repairing lighting issues. Paints interior and exterior of building including repairing and preparing walls and surfaces. Inspects and monitors operation of heating and air conditioning units, changing filters as required. Inspects fuel sumps, as required. Performs pneumatic maintenance on vacuum coolers and other equipment as required. Operates welding equipment to join metal pieces as required. Operates a motor vehicle to obtain and deliver supplies as required. Participates in snow removal process when needed. Inspects and monitors overall maintenance of plant and equipment and proactively addresses maintenance issues. Troubleshoots malfunctioning equipment and provides appropriate solutions for repair. Works with outside contractors to install / repair equipment. Uses a variety of hand and power tools to accomplish tasks. Assists in other tasks as assigned by manager. Ensure that all of the Company's safety/health programs, 's, and HACCP procedures are followed in connection with all product handling and distribution.
Required Qualifications :
Ability to communicate and work well with others to ensure smooth and safe functioning of department. Ability to read and write English and understand written maintenance manuals and instructions. Ability with basic math skills. Skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other building trades areas. Has (or can quickly obtain) forklift, scissor lift and pallet jack certification. Has valid driver's license. Has (or can obtain) Class A/B underground storage tank certification, if required. Can complete specific Lock-Out / Tag -Out and other company specific safety training.
