The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of construction, including fabrication, installation, and finishing of countertops. This role involves working on residential and commercial projects, ensuring precise installation and quality craftsmanship. Candidates with a strong background in construction management, blueprint reading, and the use of hand and power tools will excel in this position. The Countertop Installer plays a vital role in transforming spaces through meticulous installation of countertops made from various materials such as granite, quartz, marble, and solid surface materials. Responsibilities Measure and interpret blueprints and schematics to accurately install countertops according to specifications. Prepare surfaces by performing tasks such as caulking, trim carpentry, and surface leveling to ensure proper fitment. Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely during installation processes. Fabricate countertops on-site or in the shop using appropriate techniques for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials like stone, laminate, or solid surfaces. Install fixtures such as sinks, faucets, and appliances related to countertop areas. Ensure all installations meet safety standards, building codes, and project specifications. Collaborate with project managers, electricians, plumbers, and other trades to coordinate work schedules and ensure seamless project completion. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials properly. Conduct quality inspections to verify that installations are precise and durable. Qualifications Proven experience in countertop installation or related construction fields such as carpentry, masonry, or remodeling. Proficiency with blueprints reading and schematics interpretation. Skilled in the use of hand tools (caulking guns, saws), power tools (drills, grinders), and heavy equipment operation when necessary. Knowledge of construction management principles including estimating and inspection is a plus. Familiarity with fabrication techniques for various countertop materials including concrete forming or glass installation is desirable. Experience with plumbing fixtures or electrical work related to kitchen or bathroom installations is advantageous. Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
