Job Description
DICK'S Sporting Goods Distribution Center seeks a Maintenance Tech II to keep our high-volume wholesale distribution operations running safely and efficiently. In this role, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, material handling equipment, dock doors, forklifts, and building systems. You'll troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues, complete work orders in a CMMS, and support continuous improvement and safety programs. Work closely with operations and fellow technicians in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with growth opportunities and competitive pay and benefits. Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors and material handling equipment Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and basic electrical issues on warehouse systems Maintain dock doors, forklifts, and building maintenance systems Use a CMMS to complete, document, and prioritize work orders Support and follow all safety, OSHA, and lockout/tagout procedures Collaborate with operations and maintenance team to minimize downtime Assist with installation, upgrades, and improvement of equipment and systems Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential failures and hazards Maintain tools, parts inventory, and a clean, safe work area Participate in ongoing training to support skill growth and reliability goals Required Skills Preventive maintenance Mechanical repair Basic electrical troubleshooting PLC familiarity Conveyor systems maintenance Hydraulic and pneumatic systems Welding and fabrication Blueprint and schematic reading CMMS usage Safety and OSHA compliance
