This is a key role for someone who leads by example and takes pride in building a team that performs at a high level. Day-to-day, this individual will troubleshoot breakdowns, respond to emergencies, perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance, and document all maintenance activities. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Responsibilities:
Installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems throughout the plant ? including PLCs, VFDs, motors, and high-voltage equipment (110/220/440V). Help coordinate preventative maintenance schedules and repairs, prioritize work orders, and serve as a technical resource and motivating force for two existing maintenance mechanics. Work closely with the plant team to minimize downtime and uphold a strong Safety-First culture, following OSHA standards, LOTO procedures, GMPs, and FSMA guidelines.

  • Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.
  • Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Follows industry best practices, SOPs, LOTO procedures, and other safety guidelines.
  • Logs work performed through digital log or CMMS system. Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on machines, motors, and electrical equipment to reduce downtime.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide quick, reliable solutions.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Responsible for following all food safety policies, procedures and regulatory criteria including the current SQF code, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and associated preventive controls
Education:
High School Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
? Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment ? Welding, plumbing, and mechanical skills ? Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and troubleshooting ? Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and low-voltage industrial electrical systems. ? Knowledge of 110/220/440 industrial high voltage systems. ? Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics. ? Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, ability to create and maintain spreadsheets in Excel. ? Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations ? Skilled in analyzing information and creating reports ? Proactive mindset to carry out routine inspections and perform preventative maintenance ? Effective time management skills ? Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. ?
