Job Description

Description:
The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in supporting plant operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment across our dairy production and packaging facilities. This individual ensures that machinery runs safely and efficiently to minimize downtime and maintain product quality. Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm Key Responsibilities Perform routine preventative maintenance on processing, filling, refrigeration, and packaging equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system issues. Respond promptly to maintenance requests to support production schedules. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment documentation. Assist in equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades. Monitor systems such as boilers, compressors, and refrigeration units. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and safety protocols in accordance with company and regulatory standards. Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to support operational needs. Participate in on-call rotations or overtime as required.
Requirements:
Required:
2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, food processing, or similar environment. Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Familiarity with PLCs, control systems, and automated equipment. Basic welding and fabrication skills a plus. Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in varying environments (cold, wet, or hot conditions).
Preferred:
Trade school or technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field. Experience with dairy or beverage processing equipment. Knowledge of preventive maintenance software (CMMS).
