A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team, responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing skills, with experience in facilities maintenance and manufacturing environments. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where safety, efficiency, and quality are paramount. Candidates should be detail-oriented, proactive problem solvers, and capable of supervising maintenance activities as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Understands and responds to internal customer's needs. Communicates in a friendly, respectful and understandable manner. Politely gives consistent, timely and accurate information and finds answer when unsure. Meets expected service delivery times as defined by department's service standards or as required by receiver of service or goods. Is a team player, cooperates with employees within the department as well as other departments. Speaks positively about the company, co-workers and customers. Responsible for completing regular assigned preventive maintenance jobs. Reviews previous shift log. Picks up daily work requests listing all PMs and other work assignments, completing same. Checks in with Supervisors for special assignments. Reviews work requests at end of shift; make explanatory comments and closes as required. Maintains inventory levels. Coordinates material ordering with office coordinator. Returns incomplete work service requests to office with explanation for incompletion. A security escort is required should these persons perform these functions in a restricted casino area. Will assist tradesman as required to perform duties outside the General Maintenance area, i.e., plumbing, electrical, mechanical, painting, carpentry, etc. Must be able to work off ladders, lifts, in engine rooms around noise, in ceilings, basements, tight or close spaces and in all climate conditions, i.e., heat, cold, high or low humidity, etc. Must have valid drivers license, (driving record required,) and pass drug screening.
C Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalency certificate. Thorough knowledge of general maintenance is required. A minimum of 3 years maintenance experience is required. Is able to work in smoke filled environment and is able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate license through the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
