Job Description

Industrial Combustion/Process Control Technician Job Description As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in supplying direction and mentoring craftsmen to inspect, repair, clean, replace, calibrate, install, adjust, teach, setup, survey, and maintain all process-related systems. Your efforts will ensure compliance, improve efficiency, and enhance reliability, including auxiliary equipment not directly related to the process. Responsibilities Lead and mentor craftsmen to demonstrate safe work behaviors and compliance with all safety rules, policies, and procedures. Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance as required to maintain combustion equipment for optimal efficiency and product uniformity. Ensure combustion systems are maintained within NFPA 86 and company compliance. Assist engineers and supervisors in formulating test, calibration, repair, and evaluation plans and procedures to maintain equipment and resolve process variation issues. Ensure process equipment complies with QA requirements through process control tuning, thermal uniformity surveys, process control calibrations, and system accuracy tests. Diagnose and eliminate process control or combustion-related issues. Provide technical assistance and teaching to other crafts and production groups regarding process control or combustion system troubleshooting. Communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, other crafts, contractors, production groups, vendors, and OEM suppliers. Perform general housekeeping and maintain orderliness. Essential Skills Expertise in electrical, troubleshooting, and maintenance techniques. Proficiency with mechanical and hydraulic systems. Experience in the repair, installation, service, and calibration of fuel-burning equipment such as industrial boilers, furnaces, and gas turbines. Knowledge of PLC control and pneumatics. Ability to read and interpret schematics. Strong understanding of industrial processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in leading and mentoring teams. Strong communication skills. Proficiency with various technologies Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cressona, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $42.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
