Job Description

DICK'S Sporting Goods Distribution Center seeks a Maintenance Tech II to keep our high-volume wholesale distribution facility running safely and efficiently. In this role, you'll perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, material-handling equipment, forklifts, and building systems to minimize downtime and support on-time order fulfillment. You'll troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, document work in a CMMS, and partner closely with operations in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment that offers training, advancement, and strong team culture. Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, material handling equipment, forklifts, and facility systems Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime Use a CMMS to document work orders, parts usage, and maintenance history Inspect equipment regularly, identifying and escalating safety or reliability concerns Support installations, upgrades, and repairs of new or existing equipment Follow all safety, lockout/tagout, and company policies in a fast-paced warehouse environment Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to prioritize maintenance activities Assist with parts inventory, ordering, and organization for maintenance supplies Required Skills Preventive maintenance Conveyor system repair Electrical troubleshooting (basic/medium voltage) Mechanical repair and assembly Hydraulic and pneumatic systems CMMS usage Welding and fabrication (basic) Blueprints and schematics reading PLC awareness/troubleshooting support Safety and lockout/tagout procedures
