Job Description

JOB PURPOSE
The role of the Maintenance Mechanic involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and plant devices to ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical and electrical background, thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and is a proactive problem-solver.
  • Salary $70,000 - $90,000
  • Pay based on experience
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 1.
Safety at all times in all practices. 2. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment and plant systems. 3. Read and interpret electrical schematics to diagnose and repair electrical circuitry, including relays, timers, VF drives, contactors, and overloads. 4. Perform mechanical repairs, including pumps, gearboxes, lifting devices, and other industrial components. 5. Utilize hand and mechanical tools to complete repairs and installations.
SCOPE/DIMENSIONS
This position reports to the Operation Manager. The incumbent will liaise with all production departments and will be responsible for reporting all issues and propose ways in which improvement actions can be made and relevant corrective actions.
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
  • Strong electrical experience with basic circuitry and industrial components such as relays, timers, VF drives, contactors and overloads.
  • Strong mechanical background with experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment such as pumps, gear boxes, lifting equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Welding experience is a plus but not required.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently and in a team.
  • At least 1 year of forklift experience.
Schedule/Hours:
Scheduled work shift is 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
  • Flexibility required in the event of a Maintenance emergency or shutdown
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
