Job Description
Cortex Residential is now seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to assist in the management of rental apartment properties at multiple sites in the Berks County area. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on apartment buildings and units, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems Conduct regular inspections of buildings and units to identify and address maintenance issues Respond to maintenance requests from residents in a timely and professional manner Install and maintain appliances, fixtures, and equipment in apartments Maintain and repair common areas, including hallways, laundry rooms, and fitness centers Keep accurate records of work performed and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment Perform on-call duty for after-hours emergency maintenance requests on a rotating basis Requirements High school diploma or equivalent 3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and components Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components Excellent problem-solving skills Good communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Final hourly rate determined by years of experience
