Job Description
The Job Center is hiring an Assistant Repair Tech to support equipment repair and maintenance in a fast-paced light industrial environment. In this role, you'll assist experienced technicians with basic troubleshooting, part replacement, and preventative maintenance on production and facility equipment. Duties include following work orders, using hand and power tools, documenting repairs, and keeping the work area clean and safe. You'll work as part of a responsive, goal-driven team focused on quality and uptime while gaining hands-on technical and workforce experience. Responsibilities Assist lead technicians in inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing light industrial and facility equipment Perform basic mechanical and minor electrical repairs under supervision using hand and power tools Follow work orders, document completed tasks, and report issues or parts needs promptly Support preventative maintenance routines, cleaning, and simple adjustments to reduce downtime Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety, PPE, and company compliance procedures Move, stage, and organize tools, parts, and materials for repair tasks and projects Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members about job status and priorities Learn and follow The Job Center's processes for assignments, timekeeping, and reporting Required Skills Basic mechanical repair Hand and power tools Equipment troubleshooting Preventative maintenance Work order documentation Basic electrical awareness Safety and PPE compliance Lockout/tagout awareness Parts identification and handling Time management
