Willner Properties owns and manages numerous commercial, retail, and residential spaces and requires a Maintenance Manager to lead and contribute to the success of the team!
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced (minimum 5+ years) Maintenance Technician who will be involved with the day-to-day maintenance and repair of our company's facilities, equipment, and machinery by being an active and contributing member of the team. The Maintenance Tech will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of all equipment, systems, and infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
  • Contribute effectively as a skilled and functional member of the maintenance team.
  • Proactively and promptly complete work orders and/or repairs successfully with efficiency, care, and a positive and team-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarize themselves with and regularly maintain the company's work order system and update and maintain the work orders as they are completed and/or updated.
  • Develop a regular schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) for cleaning, inspections, and maintenance issues for each member of the maintenance team.
  • Ensure all safety and health standards are met.
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols to ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment and systems.
  • Evaluate and document stock, tools, equipment, and supplies and notify the office as new orders or repairs are needed. Keep important items in stock as necessary. Ability to coordinate and understand current needs and predict future needs.
  • Maintain and organize the maintenance shop.
  • Communicate regularly (multiple times throughout the day) with upper management regarding issues, updates, and resolutions.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and address them in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or services.
  • Develop workflow policies and procedures within the maintenance team to optimize, monitor, and manage the maintenance team to improve efficiency, minimize costs, and maintain positive relationships with all tenants and residents.
  • Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inspections.
  • Collaborate with other team members at Willner Properties to ensure smooth operations, efficiency, and coordination.
  • Present in a professional manner at all times.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in maintenance technology.
Skills:
  • High School Diploma / GED.
  • At least 3 years working experience in apartments, retail, or commercial properties.
  • At least 2 years experience in staff management and leadership skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good computer skills: including microsoft outlook, excel, and word.
  • Proficient in English communication, both written and verbal.
