MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

PRIMARY PURPOSE
Responsible for the repair of buildings and grounds at various amenities, facilities/sites that may include carpentry, electrical, plumbing, glazier, masonry, painting and landscaping tasks. We are looking for specialists in HVAC, plumbing, and Horticulture.
PRIMARY DUTIES/ ASSIGNMENTS
May include one or more of the items below Assist in installing new plumbing; maintaining, repairing, and replacing plumbing systems and fixtures such as faucets, drinking fountains, water heaters, water closets, urinals, water regulators, and pressure valves; repair boiler and boiler piping and pumps. Assist with ensuring all electrical system in proper working condition by maintaining, repairing, and replacing electrical systems including light switches, outlets, interior and exterior light fixtures, computer lines, electrical panels, and card readers; replace light bulbs. Keep all Hideout doors in proper working condition by installing and repairing door lock sets; rekey locks and padlocks; and cutting keys. - Locksmith only, all other assist locksmith. Assist with carpentry and trim and finish work; frame walls, doors, and windows; build or remodel offices; replace doors and windows; build or assemble cabinets, shelving, and furniture; hang, tape, and texture drywall. Perform painting work; preparing and painting or staining interiors, exteriors, and furniture of various materials. Assist with welding, masonry, flooring, and general repair work on buildings and furniture. Operate heavy equipment as needed. Assist in maintaining all HVAC systems within the Hideout properties by performing basic repairs and preventive maintenance on the HVAC systems and equipment. Assist in ensuring the Hideout roads and amenities are free from hazard conditions throughout the winter season by operating snow removal equipment, (plows, cinder spreaders, snow throwers, and shovels). Assist in maintenance and preparation of pools and equipment for season start up (pool pumps, filters and chemical system Assist with the monitoring of pool water quality parameters in conformance with industry standards. Assist with the preparation of pool complexes for proper winterization upon season ending. Assist with maintaining all HVAC systems within the Hideout properties by performing preventive maintenance on the HVAC systems and equipment. Perform additional duties as assigned Entry level skills of performing maintenance and preparation of pools and associated equipment for season start-up. Entry level skills of maintenance of pool pumps, filters, and chemical application systems.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED
Entry level skills in HVAC mechanical systems and familiarity with local plumbing codes. Entry level skills in pool maintenance/operation, including pumps, filters, and chemical feeder equipment. Apprentice in pool operations and pesticide applications with the PA Department of Agriculture. Entry level skills in electrical systems. Ability to operate equipment and maintain equipment and tools. Entry level skills in paint applicators and sprayers. Entry level skills in paint composition and color harmony. Entry level skills in proper use and care of tools and equipment, application techniques, paint mixing and matching. Entry level skills in characteristics of different finishes, wood finishing and safety. Preferable - Min 1 yr. experience in residential or commercial construction. Entry level skills in interpret blueprints, riser diagrams & understand and follow instructions. Entry level skills in wood frame construction & remodeling trades, practices, procedures and technologies. Must be self- motivated, organized and demonstrate a good work ethics. Attendance at maintenance related seminars/training classes sponsored by The Hideout is recommended. Must keep up to date on new technologies Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is to be used at all times. Must be in Hideout issued uniform while on duty. Must possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License Entry level skills in monitoring pool water quality parameters in conformance with industry standards. Assist in preparing pool complexes for proper winterization upon season ending. Throughout the winter season works with and operates snow removal equipment, (plows, cinder spreaders, snow throwers, and shovels). Perform custodial duties as needed. Assist other areas within the Facilities department as directed by Facilities management.
