Job Description

Job Summary
GENERAL FUNCTION
: The Maintenance Technician coordinates and plans maintenance and improvements of association facility and property. Ensures safe, clean, attractive and well maintained facility and equipment in every area. This position may involve early morning, evening and weekend responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requires high school diploma or GED, plus one year or more of related maintenance experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed Pool operations and management is required, Certified Pool Operator preferred Effective Communication; written, oral and through presentations Must have strong collaborative work ethic Ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform facility maintenance; including but not limited to implementation of preventative maintenance programs for facility and fitness equipment, ongoing renovations as needed Perform exterior building and ground maintenance as required Familiar with necessary program documentation for exposure to governing entities; Insurance inspections, Fire inspections, OSHA, County Health, Universal Building Codes, and other licensing procedures Addresses service request issues Ability to process, understand and respond appropriately to emergency situations Perform locker room walk-throughs as required by branch director, or as deemed necessary and address all housekeeping and maintenance issues Produce Maintenance operation reports and daily walk through reports Maintain quality service by following organization standards Maintain, repair and store all tools and equipment ensuring they are in safe working order Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Perform any other functions necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the North Penn
YMCA WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Ability to perform the following physical activities adequately: standing, sitting, squatting, walking, climbing or balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching or crawling Ability to function under inside and outside environmental conditions Ability to lift or carry up to fifty (50) pounds Ability to perform the following sensory and communicative activities adequately: hearing and seeing; reading, writing, speaking English fluently.
