Job Description

Hatchery Maintenance Technician In this job, you will be responsible for an extensive range of work in the area of repair and general maintenance. Reporting to the Maintnence Manager, you will work within established procedures to complete routine duties concerning the hatchery building, equipment, and fleet maintenance. Communicating efficiently in both verbal and written form will be necessary to complete work as instructed. The applicant must be able to work in inside as well as occasionally in outside temperatures and environments. Inside environments can be dusty, damp, humid, and wet with some allergens possible. A strong focus on safety is also considered during the workday. We are a small company with a close knit and motivated staff. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform repair or general maintenance work on incubation equipment Troubleshoot and/or repair to include ventilation equipment, electrical, motors, welding, fabricating, and general repair of lines, conveyors, and machines Working knowledge of pneumatics, automation, and control Report mechanical malfunctions to Management Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers as individuals or as a team Making rounds and documenting system conditions (i.e. temperatures, pressure, inspections, etc) Respond to building and equipment alarms as needed Responsible for on-call duties as required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Technical school preferred Minimum 1-2 years industrial maintenance experience preferred Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment Able to lift in excess of 50lbs and climb stairs and ladders Valid drivers license Benefits Package Medical, Vision, and Dental Coverage fully paid by the company after 90 days PTO days offered 3% salary Safe harbor match after 1 year
