Job Description
Come join our team at the Sheraton Great Valley. We are looking for a Maintenance Technician who has a passion for guest service and are seeking an environment that provides a positive guest and team member experience. In this role you will maintain the guestrooms, public space and back of the house areas in good repair by performing varies tasks related to a variety of trades including but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical and wall covering to ensure an attractive and well -maintained hotel. You need to be a problem solver with proven skills to perform general repairs and preventative maintenance. Take personal pride in your work. Must be able to work day shift, evening shift and weekends. We look forward to speaking with you!!! Responsibilities include Welcome all guest and team members. Engage with the guest throughout their stay to ensure they feel welcomed and appreciated. Provide guest assistance as needed. Work with other team members from various departments to address concerns, coordinate repairs and minimize adverse impact on guests. Communicate effectively and professionally with team members, service providers and guests. Conducts walk-through and visually assess the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the physical structure(s) of the hotel, all mechanical, electrical, H.V.A.C. systems and any other related equipment. Regularly complete detailed record keeping. Ensures completion of all routine maintenance on guest rooms, public spaces, back of the house spaces and grounds. Maintain and repair doors, furniture, hardware, windows, hang artwork and headboards, etc. Visually inspect, diagnose problems, take measurements and make necessary adjustments to items such as door hardware to ensure safe, smooth operation of guestrooms, public space and back of the house facilities. Paint areas of the hotel that need to be refreshed. Keep the grounds clean and well maintained. Perform other general maintenance duties in and around the hotel. Follow established procedures for emergency situations, such as fire alarms or medical emergencies. Follow proper safety guidelines to ensure the safety of guests, team members and yourself. Be a visible presence by surveying both the inside and outside of the hotel.
