Description:
Westlake Plastics is a world-leading manufacturer in extrusion and compression molding technologies of high-performance thermoplastics. Industrial Maintenance Technician duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform basic maintenance work. Replacing parts as directed under direct supervision. Replace and repair parts, rebuild equipment and align gears, shafts, pulleys and belts under supervision. Utilize illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the repair, modification and maintenance of equipment. Help perform inventory control of parts and equipment used from inventory. Respond to all assigned maintenance work orders in a timely manner. Assist in preventive maintenance (PM) activities in accordance with the preventive maintenance plan under direct supervision of PM Technician. Perform housekeeping duties required of maintenance staff including work area clean-up, machine and equipment clean-up, sweeping production floor after clean-up and various other general housekeeping duties as assigned. Participate in maintenance training programs to continuously improve knowledge, skills and abilities. Work towards developing skills in electrical or mechanical fields. Maintain compliance with changing OSHA regulations. Learn and follow all safety regulations and job instructions to perform primary job duties. Operate a Maintenance Truck for picking up parts and materials.
Requirements:
Education and experience: High school diploma or general education certification preferred. Ability to speak and communicate effectively utilizing the English language preferred. Mechanical or electrical experience. (Helpful) 1 year of related experience. Basic knowledge of equipment preventive maintenance. (Desired) Valid Driver's License Knowledgeable of OSHA regulations. Computer literate.
