Job Description
About Us:
IDN Global, Inc. is a leading distributor of security hardware, access control systems, video surveillance equipment, doors & frames, locksmithing tools, and related security products. IDN Door and Hardware, found in Livonia, MI, specializes in service and wholesale/distribution of doors, frames, and hardware. Based in MCKEES ROCKS, PA, the individual in this position supplies superior service to IDN's customers through on-site installation and repair of automatic door operators and door hardware.
Pay:
Based on experience.
Responsibilities include:
§ On-the-job training under an experienced electronic door technician. § Scheduled service of automatic doors and electrified door hardware. § Maintenance and installation of automatic and manual doors and hardware. § Service calls as needed during a regular shift (not 24/7). § Communication with customers before arrival and while on-site. § Growth in product knowledge in the areas of mechanical door hardware, doors and frames, and electronic access control systems.
Key Working Relationships:
The successful candidate will report to the Lead Low Voltage Tech and the General Manager at IDN Door & Hardware. The individual will also collaborate closely with other staff members and service technicians.
Requirements:
§ Must be self-driven, teachable, and hardworking. § Basic understanding of low voltage electronics preferred but not necessary. § Strong mechanical skills preferred but not required. § Ability to learn proper diagnostic techniques and make appropriate recommendations in performing job functions. § Ability to learn computer skills needed to record work and perform job functions. § Maintain a professional demeanor and presence at all times. § Organizational skills, with an ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively. § Professional verbal and written communication skills. Pay:
$24.00 - $30.00 per hour
