With an executive team of seasoned hospitality leaders and corporate offices worldwide, Highgate is a trusted partner for top ownership groups and major hotel brands. www.highgate.com Location Courtyard Montgomeryville 544 Dekalb PikeNorth Wales, PA 19454 Responsibilities The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall upkeep, repair, and preventative maintenance of the hotel's physical property, guest rooms, and equipment. This role ensures a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for guests and associates by responding to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Room & Public Area Maintenance Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, including HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, lighting, appliances, and furniture Address guest maintenance requests promptly to ensure satisfaction and minimize service disruption Inspect public areas (lobby, hallways, stairwells, parking lot) and correct any maintenance issues Preventative Maintenance Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks as assigned (PTAC units, water heaters, fire safety systems, etc.) Maintain accurate logs of maintenance work and inspections Identify potential issues and proactively resolve them before they escalate General Repairs Perform basic repairs including drywall, painting, minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems and equipment Assist with room turns by ensuring all systems are fully operational Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with brand standards and local/state regulations Respond to emergency situations such as power outages, water leaks, or equipment failure Grounds & Exterior Maintenance Maintain cleanliness and safety of exterior areas including parking lot and walkways Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal, salting, or basic landscaping Team Collaboration Communicate effectively with Front Desk and Housekeeping regarding room status and maintenance issues Support other departments as needed to ensure smooth hotel operations Qualifications Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred. High School diploma or equivalent required. Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing electrical HVAC carpentry etc.). Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state. Must have an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving Record) property specific.
