You'll be called on to address maintenance issues as they come up, no set weekly schedule, but reliable availability and quick turnaround when a home needs you are essential.

Duties Perform general repairs:
basic plumbing and electrical fixes, drywall patching, painting, flooring, doors, locks, and appliance troubleshooting. Complete routine safety checks — smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, HVAC filters — and address any code-related items. Handle light grounds work as needed, including snow/ice removal to keep walkways safe. Respond to maintenance requests across multiple home sites in a timely manner. Keep homes safe, clean, and compliant with PA ODP standards. Document completed work and communicate with Residential and Executive Directors about repair needs, parts, or supplies. Be available on an as-needed/on-call basis, including occasional evenings or weekends for urgent repairs. Requirements Prior experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or a related trade. Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between group home sites in the Pittsburgh area. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, kneeling, and bending. Must be able to clear required background checks per PA ODP licensing standards before starting — including PA Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 33), PA State Police Criminal Record Check (Act 34), and FBI fingerprint clearance if applicable. ECR will assist with processing.
