Maintenance Technician Saxonburg, PA 16056 Apply Overview Position Type Full Time Job Shift Daylight Category Maintenance and Repair Apply Description Machine Maintenance Technician Penn United Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a motivated full-time Machine Maintenance Technician to join our team. Working under the guidance of more experienced team members, this person will be responsible for learning to perform the installation, maintenance, repairs and inspections on various equipment and/or systems, primarily at our Saxonburg location. This will include following preventative maintenance schedules, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that all machinery is in proper working order. The Machine Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in keeping our machinery & equipment operating safely and efficiently. Duties and Responsibilities of the
Maintenance Technician:
Working under the guidance of an experienced Maintenance Specialist, the Maintenance Technician will learn to: a. Perform routine preventative, predictive maintenance on equipment and/or facility systems, ensuring proper documentation and on-time completion. b. Repair and maintain equipment and/or physical structure of the facilities c. Install and relocate precision machining equipment d. Troubleshoot and perform electrical & mechanical repairs or rebuild machine components e. Set up and operate machines to verify conformance of machined parts to specifications Paint equipment and /or facilities when needed Fabricate needed parts for equipment repairs Qualifications Qualifications for the
Technician :
Mechanical and technical abilities are required Familiarity with basic maintenance procedures and equipment (electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics) required Knowledge of methods, tools, practices & safety measures related to mechanical trades Ability to read blueprints and precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers Capable of completing training as applicable such as Lock Out/Tag Out; Electrical Arc Flash; Fork truck and man-lift; and
Fall Protection Desired:
Technical training in skills required to perform maintenance duties
Desired:
Licensing and certifications in maintenance related trades Must be able to be on your feet for up to 9 hours/day Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. High school diploma or GED equivalent required
