Job Summary A&T Chevrolet Subaru is seeking a skilled and motivated Building Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive maintenance programs, including preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance, to ensure all building systems operate efficiently and reliably. Conduct regular inspections of buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and opportunities for improvement. Oversee budgetary aspects of the maintenance department, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources while maintaining quality standards. Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities, repairs, and renovations to minimize disruption to daily operations. Collaborate with various departments to address their specific maintenance needs and support their objectives. Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and codes. Source and monitor external contractors for specialized maintenance tasks and projects. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, expenses, and equipment inventory. Stay updated on industry best practices, new technologies, and advancements in building maintenance to enhance the organization's operational efficiency. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities equipment maintenance and repair. Proficiency in electrical work including troubleshooting electrical equipment using schematics and testing devices like ohm meters. Hands-on experience with plumbing system maintenance and repair techniques. Knowledge of HVAC systems including repair, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance procedures. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing instruments effectively. Experience with residential painting and general building interior maintenance tasks. Excellent communication skills in English; capable of reading technical manuals clearly. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to work independently or as part of a team while managing multiple priorities. Customer service orientation with a focus on safety compliance and quality workmanship. Proven experience as a Building Maintenance Personnel or a similar role in building maintenance. Requirements Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance practices. Excellent organizational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Effective communication skills to liaise with staff, contractors, and other stakeholders.
