Job Summary Main requirements of this role are to support the maintenance and repair of facilities equipment and calibrations in the operation of the plant. In addition, the maintenance technician is responsible for supporting external contractors for the maintenance and repair of the operations at the plant. The role is also responsible for supporting the running and maintaining the preventative maintenance system to pre-determined guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Be able to comprehend electrical wiring diagrams, pneumatic drawings, mechanical drawings, and other facilities technical information. Ability to work with industrial electrical systems, including 480V and 880V applications. Perform necessary preventative maintenance on plant facility equipment. Be involved with installation and training on new building equipment. Identify and correct any facility related failure. Perform necessary preventative maintenance on plant facility equipment. Be involved with installation and training on new building equipment. Monitors conditions, capacities, efficiencies of all building support systems. Coordinates building maintenance activities. Coordinate activities with outside resources. Order parts write purchase orders as required. Keep all maintenance documents, check sheets and PM's. etc. updated as required. Participate in training to become more proficient in facility related programs and systems. Share call-in duties for evening and weekend emergencies. Actively participate and comply with all West HSE programs and regulations. Maintain a neat and orderly work environment in accordance with West 5S program. Support grounds maintenance including snow removal. Other duties as assigned. Education High School Diploma or GED Required. Two (2) year Associate Degree or Certificate from a technical school or college in Electrical Technology or Mechatronics Preferred Work Experience Minimum 3 years of facilities maintenance experience in an industrial setting. Combination of education and experience may be substituted. 2+ years of experience as an Electrical Apprentice, with experience working with high-voltage electricity preferred. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to read and interpret basic technical information (electrical drawings, manuals, technical procedures). Ability to clearly write a report, in work order form, the requirements and results of work performed. Ability to perform basic math calculations including fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Able to be aware of all relevant standard operating procedures as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target. Able to comply with the company's safety policy at all times. Able to comply with the company's quality policy at all times.
