Job Description

The Maintenance Technician will perform repairs and preventive maintenance on all printing/press equipment. We offer great pay, benefits, and endless growth opportunities! •Formal training in Electrical and Pneumatics is

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following, and any other duties that may be assigned by a supervisor: Follow all Company Safety Policies. Responsible for the general maintenance, upkeep, and repair of all printing presses/slitters in Printing Dept. Develop trained and skilled staff in all areas of this responsibility. Assist in developing trained and skilled operators with knowledge of the positive and negative effects that they can have on this equipment. Must understand electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, machining, etc. needs when required. Troubleshoot electrical systems to component level. Monitor systems to ensure proper operation. Make any repairs necessary to minimize production downtime. Perform preventive maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot Complete documentation of work completed. HACCP Training Lockout/ Tag out Policy Confined Space Entry Protocol Properly complete all records. Maintain cleanliness of work area at all times. Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 2 years related experience with electrical troubleshooting/ motor control, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding and plumbing. Formal training in Electrical and Welding is preferred.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of maintenance mechanic the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms above shoulder height, talk and hear, taste and smell. The employee may be required to climb ladders and/or balance. Basic requirements are bending at the waist, turning and stooping with occasional climbing and balance. Employees lift and/or move up to 55 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of maintenance mechanic, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical equipment. The employee occasionally works in high places and is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
Work Schedules:
Work week could vary; may include Saturdays, Sundays or Holidays with a specific weekday or rotating day off. Four; 10 hour days may also be scheduled. •NOTE Working safely, following all company policies and complying with all Federal, State and County regulations is a condition of employment.
