Job Title:
Maintenance Technician II Job Description As a Maintenance Technician II, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the facility. You will have the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment while mentoring junior technicians to enhance their skills. Responsibilities Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures. Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belts, motors, photo-eyes, and relays. Maintain positive working relationships across all of the Operations facility. Track and store department inventory. Move up to 49lbs as well as stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls. 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment. 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures. 1+ years of metal and wood fabrication. 1+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading. 1+ year of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles. Must be able to use a multimeter. Additional Skills & Qualifications Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field. 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field. Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards. Project Management experience. Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Experience with robotic operation and maintenance. Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role involves physical demands such as reaching arms above head, kneeling, squatting, climbing steps or ladders, and frequently lifting equipment up to 50 lbs. You'll be required to move between departments, floors, and properties, walking 6 to 12 miles per day. The work environment includes fluctuating temperatures, and tasks may require wearing a mask, face shield, and composite toed boots. Regular computer use or standing at a desk for 1-2 hours per day is also part of the role. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Mission Viejo, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $69451.00 - $69451.00/yr.
