1st Shift Tool Maintenance Technician

Overview Seeking a motivated individual to work in a team environment; The position entails the understanding of press operations, shop math, drawings, specifications, and precision measuring instruments. Operating surface grinders, and various handheld shop tools. Requires meeting the highest degree of accuracy and perform functions as directed by the area supervisor. The position requires bending, standing, pushing/pulling, and lifting a reasonable amount of weight. Duties

• Ability to interpret job travelers.
• Understand perforating press operations, resolve tooling issues in support of production.
• Maintain tooling and ensure tooling is available for production.
• Perform inspections on tooling components during tool servicing.
• Troubleshoot and correct deficiencies in tooling to help increase production efficiencies.
• Perform daily and routine preventive maintenance on shop equipment.
• Continuously seek to improve both quality and efficiency of the process.
• Support continuously changing production schedules and goals. Support the companies Lean Initiatives and operate in the ISO Quality System environment Skills
• Machining skills including surface grinding, tool and die functions.
• Measuring skills (such as using micrometers, verniers, gage pins, Vision equipment).
• Ability to record tool activity program records.
• Computer skills
• Diligence is required when servicing tooling particularly small hole tooling.
• Good hand dexterity to perform punch loading.
• Job functions require hand and arm usage, requiring light to moderate lifting.
• Must be motivated and collaborative.
• Perform other duties as directed by Supervision.

Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
