Job Description
The maintenance technician should ensure equipment is in good repair and fix mechanical issues should they arise. A person in this role will carry out various maintenance related tasks on mixers, mills, pumps, filters, compressors, and other manufacturing equipment. The maintenance technician will come in contact with a variety of chemicals and chemical waste products, some of which can be hazardous. The successful candidate must possess the following: Must be able to work independently, be able to execute strenuous, sometimes repetitive physical work such as lifting, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 pounds, work in extreme temperatures, indoors and out and be able to work any shift. Must be mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot mechanical related issues. Maintain a working knowledge of all SOPs associated with preventative maintenance tasks. Perform daily housekeeping of his/her area and all equipment. Maintain an acceptable attendance record which will be monitored continuously. Be knowledgeable and adhere to all safety requirements. Have the ability to work during the night shift and weekends if needed. With proper training, the candidate should become proficient in all facets of maintenance technician duties. These duties include but are not limited to: Adhering to a PM schedule and reporting any issues. Keeping careful documentation on the condition of essential pieces of equipment. Break down a media mill for routine inspections and perform full wet and dry end rebuilds if needed. Treating wastewater at our onsite facility. Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and move materials (typically up to 50 lbs)
