Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping the property safe, clean, and in good working condition. This hands-on role performs routine maintenance, repairs, apartment turns, and preventative maintenance while responding to resident service requests in a timely manner. A typical day includes responding to resident work orders, preparing apartments for new move-ins, inspecting the property, completing maintenance tasks, and working with vendors when needed. The role requires flexibility, problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle unexpected repairs while providing excellent service to residents. The position also participates in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies. Success in this role requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, excellent customer service, and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities. No two days are the same, and the ability to respond quickly to unexpected maintenance issues is essential to keeping residents satisfied and the property operating smoothly. Previous experience in apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, or a related field preferred. Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, and general building maintenance. Ability to read and understand work orders, maintenance instructions, and safety procedures. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required. Ability to successfully complete required training and certifications as applicable.
