We're seeking a talented Maintenance Technician to join our team at the historic Beaufort Inn. As our Maintenance Technician, you'll play a crucial role in preserving the beauty and functionality of our iconic property. Your expertise will ensure that our guests enjoy a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Key responsibilities include:
Maintaining the building's overall operational condition and functionality Performing preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and costs Responding promptly to guest requests and emergencies Adhering to all health and safety guidelines to protect our guests, staff, and property Assisting the banquet department with set up and removal of chairs and other event equipment.Ideal candidates will possess:
Strong mechanical and electrical skills A practical approach and attention to detail The ability to work independently and as part of a team A commitment to providing exceptional customer service Join our team and enjoy: Competitive compensation and benefits Opportunities for professional growth and development A chance to contribute to the preservation of a historic landmark Survey building and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets; clean and repair circuit breaker panels, etc.) Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality Perform manual repairs when necessary (repair/replace door locks, replace window fixtures/windows, etc.) Conducting ongoing room preventative maintenance program. Resolving maintenance problems, complaints, and work orders. Conduct general upkeep procedures as directed (i.e. landscaping, caulking, painting, etc.) Working knowledge of carpentry and painting as well as drywall and carpet repair work Inspecting property to identify potential and current needs. Perform other tasks as assigned by General Manager Work with Housekeeping to ensure all equipment within the guest rooms are functioning properly and are a part of an effective preventative maintenance program. Adheres to all company Standard/Conduct policies and procedures Follows the company's employee hand book for rules and regulations Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent plus at two (2) years of related experience or Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the above skills, knowledge, or abilities Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems General knowledge of maintenance processes and methods Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices Good problem solving skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Significant attention to detailJob Type:
