Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and be proficient in various technical skills, including electrical systems and equipment fabrication. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively. Fabricate components as needed to ensure the functionality of equipment and systems. Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and identify potential issues. Conduct residential painting tasks to maintain the aesthetic appeal of facilities. Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate tasks to ensure timely completion of projects. Maintain accurate records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and inventory. Implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend the life of equipment. Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance needs promptly. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field. Strong understanding of electrical systems, including logic controllers. Ability to read schematics and technical drawings effectively. Experience in supervising teams or leading projects is preferred. Proficient in residential painting techniques and practices. Familiarity with CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members.
