Maintenance Technician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician responsible for performing monthly preventative maintenance and general repairs to ensure the proper operation of facility equipment. You will inspect and identify equipment in need of repair, maintain and order inventory of maintenance supplies, and consult with facility maintenance leaders on specialized repairs. Responsibilities Perform monthly preventative maintenance to ensure facility equipment operates properly. Conduct general repairs to equipment that do not require a specialized technician. Inspect and identify equipment in need of repair. Maintain and order inventory of maintenance supplies. Consult with facility maintenance leaders on items requiring specialized repairs. Coordinate with machinists and inspectors to follow up on maintenance requests. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting. Proficiency with PLC, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Experience with mechanical maintenance and repair tasks. Ability to use a volt-ohmmeter for electrical maintenance. Capability to read, write, and speak English. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to perform general mechanical and light repair tasks on machinery, equipment, and building facilities. Ability to follow instructions from maintenance workers and leads. Proficiency in using API for scheduling and signing off maintenance tasks. Ability to use hand tools and power tools. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ladson, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
