00/hour The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for ensuring the continuous operation, reliability, and efficiency of facility equipment and machinery. This role supports daily maintenance requests, performs advanced troubleshooting, and leads preventive maintenance (PM) efforts. The position also contributes to equipment rebuilds, fabrication projects, and cross-functional collaboration while mentoring junior technicians and promoting a safe, productive work environment. Maintenance Technician II Responsibilities:
  • Perform equipment tear-downs, rebuilds, and complex repairs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
  • Execute routine and advanced maintenance on machinery and production equipment
  • Respond to equipment issues ("red lights") to minimize downtime
  • Conduct machine set-ups to support efficient production operations
  • Lead and participate in preventive maintenance programs and schedules
  • Monitor equipment performance and make proactive adjustments
  • Order, install, and manage replacement parts and maintenance inventory
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
  • Assist operators with maintenance-related needs and technical issues
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Manager, Electronic Technicians, and facility teams
  • Train and mentor other technicians to build team capability
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards (LOTO, HazCom, OSHA)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Requirements for
Maintenance Technician II:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least five years of progressive maintenance technician experience
  • Strong background in electrical and mechanical systems
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment such as inserters, conveyors, bowes, and forklifts
  • Direct mail, manufacturing, or press equipment experience preferred
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Leadership skills with the ability to train, mentor, and support team members
  • Ability to run air lines, conduit, and wiring for equipment installations
  • Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Strong communication, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Commitment to safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in industrial environments with exposure to noise, heat, and moving machinery
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces as needed
  • Capable of performing physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment
