Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Part-Time Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of building systems and equipment to ensure a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment. Your expertise will help keep our facilities running smoothly, supporting the overall operations and enhancing the experience for staff and visitors alike. Duties Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical systems, HVAC units, plumbing, carpentry, and building interior components to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools. Conduct HVAC system repairs, including filter replacements, ductwork adjustments, and system calibrations to maintain climate control. Utilize hand tools and electrical equipment repair techniques to address facility issues promptly. Maintain facilities equipment through scheduled preventive maintenance activities aligned with maintenance, repair, and operations standards. Execute plumbing system maintenance and repairs, including leak detection, pipe repairs, and fixture servicing. Support maintenance painting projects such as touch-ups or full-room painting to uphold building aesthetics. Read schematics and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues and implement effective solutions. Assist with carpentry tasks related to building interior maintenance or fixture installation as needed. Collaborate with team members to prioritize work orders while providing excellent customer service to internal clients. Qualifications Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and operations, with a strong background in electrical work, plumbing, HVAC systems, or facilities maintenance. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred for troubleshooting automated systems. Skilled in the use of hand tools for various repair tasks. Electrical experience including repair of electrical equipment and understanding of schematics is essential. Familiarity with HVAC system repair, building interior maintenance, plumbing system maintenance, and residential painting is highly desirable. Ability to read technical schematics and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills. Good communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork coordination. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to work independently or as part of a team when necessary.
