Job Description
Join Our Team The Kent Companies is looking for a dependable and motivated Maintenance Technician to help maintain our retail locations and ensure they remain safe, clean, and operating efficiently. If you enjoy solving problems, working with your hands, and taking pride in keeping facilities running smoothly, we'd love to hear from you. This position is responsible for maintaining a wide variety of building systems and equipment, including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general facility repairs. HVAC experience is preferred but not required. What You'll Do As a Maintenance Technician, you will: Perform preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance issues. Complete work orders accurately and efficiently using the company's computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Repair or replace equipment used throughout our retail locations. Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance needs before they become larger issues. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls. Maintain inventory, tools, and parts in your service vehicle and warehouse. Assist with special projects and support other maintenance technicians as needed. Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment. Work closely with your supervisor to ensure maintenance priorities and company goals are met. Qualifications We're looking for someone who has: Experience in general building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related trade. Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repairs. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Good communication and organizational skills. Experience using computerized work order systems is a plus. HVAC experience is preferred but not required. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Must successfully pass a hair follicle drug screen and other pre-employment requirements. Ability to safely lift up to 75 pounds. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and respond to emergency maintenance calls when needed. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds. Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, and reach throughout the workday. Work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. Operate tools, equipment, and company vehicles safely. Perform repetitive physical tasks while maintaining a high level of safety and attention to detail.
