A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.
The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping production-equipment running at peak performance. The Industrial Maintenance Technician reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for overseeing and performing daily routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on welding equipment, tools, front end loaders, forklifts, CNC plasma machines, Bodor laser cutting machine, Fanuc Cobots, and facilities. This role ensures that all machinery, tools, and structures are in optimal working condition to support smooth and efficient operations. Additionally, the role is responsible for managing inventory of company owned equipment, tools, and vehicles including documenting repairs and preventive maintenance scheduling of each through the company assigned online platform. The Industrial Maintenance Technician will coordinate with vendors and internal teams to manage maintenance schedules, track warranties, and troubleshoot issues as they arise. DUTIES and
RESPONSIBILITIES
Equipment & Facility Maintenance:
Conduct regular inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs on welding equipment, tools, vehicles, and company facilities for compliance with safety and operational standards. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on welding machines, robotic welding systems, conveyors, hydraulic presses and related fabrication equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical (including 480 V), and hydraulic issues on equipment and coordinate major repairs when needed. Maintain accurate maintenance logs and preventive maintenance schedules in our AssetTiger platform.
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce safety regulations and ensure that all maintenance work complies with OSHA and company safety policies. PPE required, including safety boots, eye protection, gloves, and high-visibility gear. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and repairs. Ensure proper storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials and chemicals. Follow and promote facility safety, quality and environmental procedures.
Inventory & Budgeting:
Assist with management and tracking inventory of tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies. Work with Plant Manager and CFO to order necessary parts and materials while managing costs effectively. QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification/ training in mechanical, electrical, or construction maintenance required. Minimum 3 to 5 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing or heavy-weld environment (steel fabrication, etc.). Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, flow rates, pneumatics and general manufacturing equipment. Experience with heavy equipment maintenance (e.g., front-end loaders, forklifts, welding machines, foot pedals, grinders, etc.) in an industrial setting. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics with proficiency. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure independently or on a team. Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically active environment. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Proficiency in using maintenance management software is preferred. Valid driver's license required.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Experience with robotic welding systems (e.g., FANUC, ABB, Lincoln). Knowledge of lean manufacturing/continuous-improvement practices.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Manufacturing floor with exposure to machinery, noise, and moving equipment. Moderate to heavy physical activity throughout the shift.
