Job Description

The Waters of Cheatham is hiring a Floor Tech! Up to $15/hr
Key Responsibilities Floor Maintenance:
Sweep, mop, strip, wax, buff, polish, and deep-clean hard floors (tile, vinyl, concrete).
Carpet Care:
Vacuum, shampoo, and perform water extraction on carpets and rugs.
Equipment Operation:
Safely operate and maintain heavy floor machinery, including buffers, burnishers, auto-scrubbers, and extractors.
Safety & Infection Control:
Follow strict facility, OSHA, and CDC guidelines to reduce pathogens, handle chemicals properly, and place warning signs (like "wet floor" cones).
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate daily logs of floor care activities and report any maintenance or safety hazards to supervisors.
Resident Interaction:
Offer polite, positive customer service and maintain a respectful, quiet demeanor around residents and staff.
General Support:
Assist with general housekeeping or room setups as needed by the facility.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Experience:
Prior custodial or healthcare-specific floor care experience is a plus.
Physical Demands:
High physical stamina, ability to stand or walk for long shifts, and capability to bend, stoop, and lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
Skills:
Good understanding of cleaning chemicals, attention to detail, and the ability to follow oral and written instructions with minimal supervision.
