Job Title:
CNC Maintenance Technician Job Description This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machinery within a clean, climate-controlled medical device manufacturing environment. The CNC Maintenance Technician ensures that equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably to support consistent production quality. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on CNC machines, including lathes and mills, to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues on CNC equipment in a timely and systematic manner. Carry out repairs and adjustments on CNC machinery to restore optimal performance and accuracy. Conduct general maintenance tasks on production equipment and related systems to support continuous operations. Inspect CNC machines regularly to identify potential problems and address them before they impact production. Document maintenance activities, repairs, and findings to support traceability and continuous improvement. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and resolve equipment issues. Follow safety procedures and best practices while working on electrical and mechanical components of CNC equipment. Essential Skills Hands-on experience with CNC machine maintenance, including lathes and mills. Strong electrical troubleshooting skills for CNC machinery and related systems. Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving issues on CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment. Experience performing preventive maintenance on CNC machines to maintain reliability and performance. Ability to perform general maintenance tasks on mechanical and electrical systems. Solid understanding of CNC machine components and their operation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in a medical device or similarly regulated manufacturing environment. Familiarity with clean, climate-controlled production facilities. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining equipment in top condition. Ability to communicate clearly with production and engineering teams regarding maintenance needs and status. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bartlett, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
